CLASSIC, HYBRID AND RUSSIANS
Your eyes are unique to you so there is no one-size-fits-all approach. It is completely up to you and what you like. At lashANNbrow, I offer 3 different types of lash extensions: Classic, Hybrid & Russian.
Classic is the most natural-looking set whereby I place 1 lash extension on to 1 of your natural lash. The lengths are to be discussed during your session - this depends on how long you want it and the style you are after.
Russian is the most voluminous look that I offer. Placing 2D, 3D, 4D and up to 5D fans to each of your natural lash. Please note that I will recommend a thickness that is more suitable to you due to your natural lash condition (e.g. if you have thin lashes then I would recommend a more lightweight fan such as 2D).
Hybrid is a mix of both Classic and Russian whereby I place a mixture of 1 and multiple fans to create a full and wispy look.
THE PROCESS
The whole process from the initial consultation to finish takes about 1 hour (give or take 15 minutes). Yes, I am fast!
During this time, you can take a nap, listen to music or we can chat - I am a good talker and listener as well. Up to you!
BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
- Please ensure that you are coming with no makeup around your eyes
- Please make sure there is NO lash glue residue (this can cause the extensions to fall off quicker)
- It might be a good idea to shower and wash your hair before you come as you will have to stay as dry as possible for the next 24-36 hours for maximum lash retention
- Bring your own headphones and music if you're not a chatter (I won't be offended, promise!)
AFTERCARE
Like all good things in life - a little TLC is required to ensure its longevity! Lash extensions are delicate little things so to get the best retention on your lashes, good after-care is important! Here are some DOs and DON'Ts:
DO
- Keep them as dry as possible for at least 24 - 36 hours after your appointment. No water, no steamy saunas, no swimming
- Blot your face if you have an oily skin type. Don't forget to blot your eyelids
- Use oil-free products around the eye area. This includes eye makeup removers and cleansers
- Use an oil-free foaming cleanser (I like foamed up baby shampoo) to clean them a few times a week. Be gentle!
- Brush them at least once a day, gently
DON'T
- Keep touching them with your dirty/oily fingers. Just don't touch them unless you are brushing or cleaning them
- Do not pick or rub your eyes roughly. Picking can damage your natural lash
- Do not use oily products around your eyes
- Do not use mascara PLEASE
- If you wear other eye makeup such as eyeliner, please remove gently with a cotton tip and an oil-free remover
- Do not light a cigarette too close to your lashes (trust me, you don't want crispy lashes...)
LASH EXPECTATIONS
Your lash extensions will last the length of the natural growth of your eyelashes. The cycle varies on everyone but generally, a refill should only be required every 2-3 weeks.
Please note that it is 100% natural for your eyelashes to fall on a daily basis. So don't freak out if you see some on your pillow, in the shower or towel - it's normal :)
