At lashANNbrow, I offer the highly sought after eyebrow tattoo technique - Ombré Powder Brows.
WHAT IS OMBRÉ BROWS?
This unique technique is perfect for clients who prefer a powder-filled brow look (similar to how you would look after you have applied powder/soft pencil makeup).
The tattoo pigment is lighter at the start of the brow and gradually gets darker at the tail - hence the name, Ombré Brows!
Ombré Brows are done using a cosmetic tattoo machine and tend to last longer than other eyebrow tattoo methods such as Feather Touch.
THE PROCESS
The whole process from the initial face to face consultation to the finished look can take up to 4 hours.
1. Initial face to face consultation to discuss colour, shape and paperwork
2. A pre-draw of your brows to your liking
3. Once happy with the design and colour, the tattoo will start!
Don't worry, a topical numbing cream will be used to assist the tattooed area. The anaesthetic is applied to reduce any irritation and inflammation that may occur. You can have some panadol if you wish to help with comfort but most clients find the tattoo very bearable :)
Depending on how well your skin takes in the pigment and how well the after-care was followed, a touch-up may be required. This is to be done between 4-6 weeks after the initial tattoo.
It is recommended that you maintain your brow tattoo with yearly touch-ups to keep them looking fresh!
BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
This information is provided to increase ink pigment retention during the healing process and to ensure minimal bleeding during the tattooing procedure.
- Please do not wax, thread or pluck your eyebrows at least one week before your appointment
- Please do not consume coffee, red bull, alcohol or anything that has caffeine 24 hours before your appointment
- Do not take fish oils or drugs/supplements which may cause blood thinning
- No heavy exercise (low-key YAY), use a sauna, get a massage, facial, swim, tan for at least one week after
- Botox or fillers should be done 1 month before or 2 weeks after your brow tattoo procedure
Due to recent changes re COVID-19, clients will be required to bring in their numbing cream which can be purchased at your nearest compound chemist (costs approx. $25). The ingredients and information will be provided once you have secured a booking.
AFTERCARE
I cannot stress enough how important the aftercare is to achieve the best result on your healed brows. The aftercare accounts for over 60% of the healed results!
Immediately after the procedure, a 5 day DRY HEAL is recommended for Ombré Brows. Don't be alarmed if your skin experiences skin sensitivity, redness and swelling for about 1-2 days after the tattoo. If you would like, get some counter pain reliever :)
A detailed aftercare sheet will be provided to you after your Ombré Brow appointment.
